  • What kind of boat is REEF EXPLORER?

REEF EXPLORER is a 60 ft. state of the art custom built Super Raft. Offering an ultra-stable and smooth ride, she provides the luxury of a large boat with the agility and fun of a raft.

  • Can I bring my own gear?

Yes, you are welcome to bring your own gear. We also provide masks, snorkels and fins free of charge. Please note for safety, full face snorkel masks are not allowed

  • Is there a bathroom on board?

Yes, Reef Explorer has two full size bathrooms on board.

  • Will we swim with turtles?

Yes, swimming with Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles is a highlight for many of our guests and is part of our tour! We snorkel at our favorite Turtle Cove to swim with these graceful animals, and often see up to a dozen at one time. Just remember Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles are a protected species, so no touching is allowed.

  • What are the restrictions?

Not recommended for non swimmers, fragile individuals, expecting mothers or children under 4 years of age. The activity requires a moderate excursion level and participants should be in general good health.

  • Do you serve food and drinks?

Yes, on our Molokini Turtle Town Tour we serve muffins and fresh fruit in the morning and delicious Turkey wrap sandwiches for lunch. Vegetarian and gluten free options available with 48 hours’ notice. We also serve non-alcoholic beverages (bottled water, sparkling water, soft drinks, Hawaiian juices).

  • What makes this trip unique?

REEF EXPLORER is able to go where other boats simply cannot. This means we stay away from crowds and give our guests much more time in the water to observe marine life and explore Maui’s underwater beauty. Our favorite turtle cove is not accessible to large tour boats or catamarans, which allows a completely private experience to swim with these graceful creatures.

  • Where are you located?

We are located in Maalaea Harbor and REEF EXPLORER boards from the South Loading Dock, located at the end of the pier.

  • Where can I park?

Public Parking is available in Ma’alaea Harbor and all along the pier, including spots close to the boat. Parking is $1/hour. Scan the QR Code at the parking signs and enter license plate number of your vehicle.
